While in college, Sam grew tired of playing the same teams and struggling to find new opponents. He built Futsal Malaysia to solve that problem, turning a college idea into a nationwide community platform and his first five-figure entrepreneurial exit.

Nationwide pathway · Ages 6–12
As Head of Grassroots, Sam strengthened the national pathway for children aged 6 to 12. He developed a nationwide coaching course, introduced an academy charter and accreditation system, and founded Liga SupaRimau.

As Head of Asia Pacific and later Head of Operations, Sam scaled football development programmes across APAC and global markets. He led regional expansion, player onboarding, academy coach coordination and end-to-end delivery alongside coaches from leading European academies.

Since May 2023, Sam has served as a Board Trustee of Impact Integrated, a strategic catalyst agency under the Ministry of Youth and Sports. He contributes to governance, strategic direction and the organisation’s work across youth development, esports and media.
